Drosera adelae
Drosera adelae, commonly known as the lance-leaved sundew, is a tropical carnivorous plant native to the rainforests of northeast Queensland, Australia. Unlike many other sundews, D. adelae thrives in low-light, humid environments and is often considered one of the most shade-tolerant carnivorous species. It features long, narrow, lance-shaped leaves covered in glandular trichomes (tentacles) that secrete sticky mucilage to trap small insects. These tentacles aid in nutrient acquisition in nutrient-poor soils, which is characteristic of its native habitat.
