In the early 2000s, amidst the serene landscapes of Kerala, our founder Rajesh A.S. embarked on a humble journey. What began in his backyard as a personal hobby—nurturing a few aquatic plants with care and curiosity—soon blossomed into a pioneering venture that would redefine India's aquatic plant industry. Driven by an insatiable fascination for aquatic ecosystems, Rajesh traversed the diverse terrains of India—exploring rivers, wetlands, and forest streams.

Rajesh was more than a cultivator; he was a passionate explorer and lifelong student of aquatic ecosystems. Driven by his fascination with underwater flora, he spent years traveling across India—trekking through rivers, wetlands, and forest streams in search of native aquatic plants. His expeditions were not just journeys, but missions of discovery. Over time, he documented and collected many unique aquatic species, many previously unseen in the aquarium industry. These rare finds laid the foundation for what would become one of the most diverse aquatic plant collections in the country.

Rajesh's deep understanding of plant behaviour, his hands-on experimentation, and his relentless curiosity set the tone for Sreepadma Aqua Flora's identity. His love for the aquarium industry and sustainable growing practices not only shaped the farm's values but also contributed significantly to the biodiversity available to hobbyists and professionals alike.

Tragically, Sreepadma team and the aquarium industry mourned the loss of this visionary when he passed away on December 27, 2024. His legacy, however, continues to thrive through Sreepadma Aqua Flora, inspiring aquarists and entrepreneurs alike to pursue their passions with dedication and integrity.
