Anubias var. Nana

Anubias barteri var. nana is one of the most popular and widely used species in aquascaping, prized for its hardiness, compact size, and slow growth. Native to the rivers and streams of West Africa, it features thick, dark green, oval-shaped leaves that grow from a horizontal rhizome, which must remain above the substrate to prevent rot. The plant grows to a typical height of 5–15 cm, making it ideal for foreground to midground placement or as an epiphytic plant attached to hardscape such as driftwood or rocks. It thrives under low to medium light and does not require CO₂ injection, although CO₂ and micronutrient fertilization (particularly iron) can enhance leaf color and growth rate slightly
